Come on out to the 34th Great Canberra Swap Meet, brought to you by the the Veteran Vintage and Classic Motorcycle Club ACT. Enjoy a day kicking tires, scoring great swap meet finds, and have the opportunity to see Ian and Wendy together for the first time since 2022! And you know what that means... something crazy is bound to happen! There will be a limited number of books available for purchase, and an unlimited number of wild stories.
Rider's Lane community garage will be hosting Ian and Wendy for a presentation on the wild ride which resulted in Pushing Miles. With pictures, videos, maps, and more chaos than you can shake a stick at, it's sure to be heaps of fun. There will be plenty of time for Q&A, tyre kicking, and to have your book signed by both authors.
The Machine Show is quickly becoming one of the greatest vintage motorcycle events in Australia. It brings together riders from all over the world, riding all styles and brands of motorcycles, for a family-friendly weekend of camping and fun. 3000km Day:
In 2010 Ian became the only person to ever document riding 3,000km (1,864 miles) in less than 24 hours. This ride was nearly impossible to execute, with only three countries (USA, Germany and Australia) having roads with high enough speed limits to accomplish the feat legally, and even then it required absolute precision execution. - Read More

In 2017 Ian became the first (and so far, only) person to ever document a SaddleSore (over 1,000 miles in less than 24 hours) in Zambia; he accomplished this riding a Harley Davidson MT350!
